We have a Victorian fireplace that was missing most of the bits, cast iron hood and firebricks too. Along the way i found: Ward Antique Fireplaces. I looked no further ! They knew the design of fireplace, knew everything about it and offered to refurb it in position. They have copies of most victorian cast fireplace bits so can recast them. When i walked into the room while they were fitting the hood - the colour match was so good i didnt notice it was the new bit !!!!!. Seriously good Knowledge of fireplaces and excellent advice on refurb. THESE ARE THE GO-TO CAST FIREPLACE GUYS. Exellent communication , very friendly and properly professional when it came to the refurb, alot of work done on the fireplace , drilling , fitting even resetting the firebricks in the rear from mixed cement. NO MESS LEFT after the job - Just a brand new looking Fireplace in a room with no sign of work having been done. This was another two fireplaces but with one custom painted which has turned out really nicely and we couldn't be more pleased. What Ted doesn’t know about antique fireplaces is not worth knowing! The showroom is a treasure trove & the workshop demonstrates the level of skill, precision and craftsmanship that goes into lovingly restoring these reclaimed fireplaces. Ted was beyond helpful as we talked about what we wanted; he helped us choose the right fires for us & went above and beyond to help us have our lounge as a working fireplace. Our fitters, Luis & Jack were tidy, speedy, precise & lovely to have around. We LOVE the finished product and are so grateful to Ted and the entire team. We contacted Ted at Ward Fireplace Restoration on the recommendation of our builder, and we are so glad we did. Ted was immediately communicative and informative, and came to look at our fireplace within a few days to give a quote. They came shortly after to do the work and we are so thrilled.
